I don’t, and won’t do this often, but I think everyone should read this blog post from a survivor of the Colorado shooting. What admirable faith, hope and peace she has even in the worst of times. Praying for the friends and families of the victims… that God will provide them with comfort and healing as they deal with this tragedy.

A Tenacious Joy

July 22 – a note of explanation

I’ve tried to leave this post just as it was originally written because it was a heartfelt response after a very traumatic experience.  But I’m sometimes clumsy with words and even when I think I am writing clearly, there is always the reader who doesn’t know my heart or doesn’t hear the words the way they were intended.

I feel as though a few people have taken what I said and twisted it. When I wrote my post on Friday, I had a grand total of eleven blog  followers. Yes, eleven. I generally post on facebook and have had a loyal little group of readers that numbered thirty or so. That is who I generally write for.  People who know me  know that I dislike talking on the telephone. I’d pretty much rather clean a toilet than spend time on the phone. I…

    I’m bad!! I haven’t had time to write to you but I have been thinking about you a lot and praying for you. I love reading your blog so keep it up (when you can). I hope you had a wonderful time in London with the family and the wedding was fun.
    Time is flying. A year will go by in no time. I am so proud of you. God is doing amazing things thru and to you. (I’m actually a little jealous!).

  2. Thanks Camilla. This blog is so inspirational and I was glad to read it after a difficult day at the hospital. How God can use this tragedy to his glory. Prayers of love and support for the survivors. Take care, my love.
