4 years ago I stepped off a plane at Otopeni airport (in Bucharest) for what I thought was going to be a year long internship with Every Generation Ministries. 4 years later and I am still here! What a crazy journey it has been. Not always as easy and fun as I make it seem on social media, but I love it now just as much as I did on day 1. I miss A LOT of stuff living away from friends and family.  Birthdays, babies being born and lots of weddings, but there isn’t a day (so far!) that I have regretted starting a new life here.

I have had my friend, Ronella, staying with me for the past week.  Ronella loves Bucharest as much as I do, dare I say, she may love it more? But this week we have been able to spend every second loving on this wonderful city together. I am so thankful God gave me a passion for this city that is sometimes so easy to hate. I have never appreciated here, home, more than I have this week.

Who says Bucharest isn’t gorgeous ?!?

And of course, as an even bigger treat (for some, others may avoid this video at all costs and I don’t blame you) …. a video blog of my top 4 best and worst things about Bucharest.  ENJOY!

Happy 4 years to me and Bucharest, Romania! And here’s to many more!

  1. Just love your vlogs! More please. They never fail to put a big smile on my face. Thank you Romania for taking care of my daughter and making her happy.

  2. I can vouch for your dog story!! My favorite thing about Bucharest is how well it has taken care of my sissy for 4 years. There are a lot of Americans who now loves Bucharest and the Romanian people because of you!!!
