For the last 5 years my family and friends have put on a garage sale with ALL of the proceeds sent here for the less fortunate children I work with. At first it was just the orphanage children, snowballed into homeless children, orphans, and children living at a halfway house because of domestic abuse.
Here are some pictures from this weekend.
Just some of the donations that stay stored at my parents house throughout the month of November!
Morning of! (some more enthusiastic than others!)
I can’t think everyone enough for all the time and effort put into this! It isn’t just a morning, its week of collecting donations, sorting through clothes, a 5 am wake up call, running the garage sale til 1pm and then donating all of the leftover stuff to Salvation Army afterwards. All of your effort will be the reason HUNDREDS of children here in Bucharest have a reason to smile this Christmas.
Thank you for your love for these children and Romania!
As for me personally, I am just getting ready for the busiest season of the year here! First I need to get over my horrible cough, cold, sore throat. It snowed last week but fingers crossed it was a fluke and doesn’t snow again until January. This is by far my favorite time of the year and I can’t wait to keep you all updated on all the Christmas festivities going on over here!
